busy busy busy

ok so first blog went ok! im rubbish at doing this weekly.......but i will try harder.

Tonight is our official opening night, we are having two, one tonight and one next tuesday. so today has been sorting out goody bags, getting the nibbles ready, getting the bubbly chilled. so its all looking good, salon is sparkling, music is sorted, food is in fridge so now i can chill for 10mins and write this.

OK so start with the wife stuff! im a great wife because last night i took joe to costco....he had never been, it was brilliant, just like when i took him to the pound shop (he actually asked the lady how much things were....couldnt believe a gillette razors, or cif was a pound!!"so this is a pound?" "yes" "...and this is a pound?" "yes everything in here sir is a pound"very funny) so last night we brought really random stuff like..... 50 packs of paracetamol, the biggest bag of dishwater salt, monster munch in bulk, and a huge pot of king prawns....so random bless him! (apparently next time we go we are picking up tools, a massive rice and lots of canned goods! crazy times)

We are celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary soon and i cant wait to see what joe has in store....im leaving it to him...dangerous but im going to trust that he can do it!! so joe....maybe rome, barcelona, or new york, im not fussy!


sister wise i have been a rubbish sister to most of my siblings as 4 of the are in the back and beyond in pembrokeshire, Alex has had another little girl, Evie, very cute and tiny, Andy is busy building boats (and maybe building the Bluebird? speed boat, to break the current world speed boat record?) lauren and megan are being total bums and enjoying there school holiday....i miss them all loads, but least i can be a great big sister to the cutest baby brother Harrison

he keeps me busy when i see him, and loves coming to the salon to "help" which means he batters everything and sweeps around my feet...but i love his cute smile and cheeky chappy ways! "eeyan's shop...harrison help" lol

the salon is getting busier, but i hate middle of August as everyone goes away, Chobham is a bit like a ghost town at the mo, all sunning themselves somewhere.
im sooooooo excited because we have the beautiful new pink GHD's in, arrrrr they are sooooooo pretty. and they help raise funds for break through breast cancer, so you get pretty irons, shiney hair and you are helping a good cause....think i should get me some!

what a week!

well my first blog! kinda scary!!! so what a week, good and bad, had my phone stolen on friday which is the worst thing!! not just because you dont have a phone, but its peoples numbers and photos etc! and i must say i am lazy and dont write addresses or numbers down....i also dont back my iphone up enough! lesson learned.

we had our Busiest week in the salon so far! which was great, it was brilliant to see it fully booked and the salon was buzzing, it was a great atmosphere, clients were chatting between themselves and we were busy styling! annnnddd i didnt run over whoop whoop go leanne.
I am so lucky to have some fab clients and friends who come to me regularly, but its also great to be getting new clients in and we have been open long enough to see them returning now. i love having the salon, it was so long awaited and sometimes i find it hard to believe i actually have my own salon, my own brand arrrrrrrh crazy!

my favourite product at the moment is L'Oreal's Mythic Oil, its a fab oil to be used before or after blowdrying. its packed with good stuff, like avacado oil and grape seed oil, it makes the hair feel and look great. but dont use too much otherwise it will make you look like a slick rick! it retails at £15 and they are selling it with two free gifts...a L'Oreal Paris volume mascara and hair brush. the oil itself lasts forever so its a good investment.......all go buy it!! but remember i sell it too :)

I meet my new neice Evie this week too, she is two weeks old and is sooooooo tiny....dont worry im not broody but was lovely to see such a cute little bubba, well done alex and kate you cooked a cutie!

Tuesday night was also an open night at the salon, we were showcasing Ashleigh's jewellery, which she makes, was great to see friends and clients in the salon for that. we are trying to run an event each month at the salon...including pamper nights, shopping nights, wine tasting. if you know of anyone who runs events please tell me so i can maybe include them at the salon.

so thats this week so far........ i better get back to work
